The Club Patí Calafell, coached by Guillem Cabestany, qualified for the World Skate Europe Cup semifinals on Saturday in Portugal after securing a 2-2 draw against Braga.

The team from Baix Penedès secured their ticket to the silver competition of European roller hockey thanks to the 2-2 draw obtained on the Braga rink, which followed their narrow 1-0 victory previously achieved at the Joan Ortoll pavilion.
The second leg was highly contested, although Braga took the lead twice in the first half. First, with a goal by Tomás Santos in the 12th minute, and then, after Aleix Marimon equalized in the 23rd minute, Santos scored again a minute later to make it 2-1 at halftime.
The parity continued in the second half. The decisive goal that sealed the tie for Calafell came in the 33rd minute, when Jero Garcia capitalized on a quick corner foul to surprise the Portuguese defense and establish the final 2-2 scoreline.
Despite late pressure from Braga, Guillem Cabestany's team managed the final minutes effectively, avoiding the tenth foul and securing qualification. CP Calafell now aims to repeat the victory they achieved in this same competition during the 2021-2022 season.
