The Cunit Local Police and the Civil Guard launched a joint surveillance operation this March to improve public safety and detect serious traffic violations in the municipality.

The action, part of the regular cooperation between security forces in the Baix Penedès region, focused on vehicle and person verification. During the operation, officers intercepted a driver in Cunit who had never obtained a driving license.
The Local Police have opened an investigation against the offender, who already had a record for similar acts, for an alleged crime against road safety. The case has been referred to the El Vendrell duty court.

"Coordination between different forces is a fundamental tool to guarantee citizen protection and improve service efficiency."
