The Mossos d'Esquadra police force has arrested six minors accused of committing 22 motorcycle thefts in several towns across Baix Penedès and Vilanova i la Geltrú during February and March.

The operation, led by the Urban Crime Group from El Vendrell police station, resulted in the recovery of 19 stolen vehicles. The arrests took place between February 27th and last Thursday, mostly in Calafell, where the thefts had caused significant public concern.
The investigation began in mid-February after the Calafell Local Police found several stolen mopeds. Officers identified a primary suspect linked to the theft of an electric bike at Segur de Calafell port on January 25th.
Two gang members also face charges for assaulting police officers following a high-speed chase between Cunit and Calafell on February 26th. All detainees have been released pending a summons from the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
