Renovation work at the Àngel Guimerà Theater, a key cultural facility in El Vendrell, has commenced during the summer break. The main project involves replacing the current 400 seats with new, more comfortable, and accessible ones.
In addition to the seat replacement, the renovations include a redistribution of the interior space. Staircases will be moved to the sides of the theater, enhancing safety and improving access to the upper sections of the hall, particularly for elderly patrons who faced difficulties.
The refurbishment also entails the installation of new lighting, both on the floor and ceiling, to increase safety and improve the ambiance of the performance space. The goal is to have all improvements completed by early September, coinciding with the start of the new show season.
