The Local Police of El Vendrell has launched a special security operation for Easter Week, with a particular focus on the municipality's coastal areas, to ensure coexistence and tranquility.

This initiative, announced by the El Vendrell City Council, aims to increase police presence in all streets and neighborhoods, especially in coastal areas, which typically receive a larger number of visitors during this holiday period.
The initial results of these controls, carried out last Wednesday, April 1, at locations such as Terral street, the Sant Salvador Road, and the Sanatori Sector, have already yielded results. A total of 34 vehicles were inspected, leading to five citations for possession of illegal substances, one for carrying a bladed weapon, and another for driving with an expired ITV (vehicle inspection).

"Prevention is a fundamental tool to continue improving security data as has been done in recent years, and El Vendrell's security model is based on crime prevention with increased police presence in the streets, which improves citizens' perception of security and deters criminal acts."

Christian Soriano · Security Councillor of El Vendrell City Council

"The increased presence of local police on the street, in collaboration with other police forces, is a security model that works in our municipality, and the data demonstrates this with a reduction in criminal acts."

Kenneth Martínez · Mayor of El Vendrell
Both the Security Councillor, Christian Soriano, and the Mayor, Kenneth Martínez, have emphasized the importance of this preventive strategy and the increased police presence in reducing criminal acts and enhancing the perception of safety among citizens.
