The town of la Bisbal del Penedès is set to celebrate the Tres Tombs festival this Sunday, March 22nd, a traditional event showcasing the municipality's deep-rooted agricultural history through horse-drawn carriage parades.

The day begins at 8:30 AM at Era de Batre with a communal breakfast organized by the Ball de Diables de la Bisbal del Penedès. For 8 euros, visitors can enjoy local products, while the La Roca Foradada Women's Association will be selling traditional cakes.
The main parade starts at 11:30 AM, featuring the blessing of animals in front of the local church. This year's edition will be attended by Sònia Hernández, the Catalan Minister of Culture, highlighting the cultural significance of the event in the Baix Penedès region.

"Tres Tombs is a deeply rooted celebration that allows us to remember our municipality's agricultural past and value the trades and lifestyles that shaped the town for many years."

Judith Vidal · Acting Mayor
Originally established in 1992 by Rafel Vidal, the festival was revived by the Town Council in 2017. To ensure the highest standards, the Tarragona Province Tres Tombs Coordinator oversees animal welfare protocols and the historical accuracy of the participating carriages and equipment.
