The Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls has loaded its first 'gamma extra' of the season, the 5d9 with folre, in El Vendrell. The Castellers de Vilafranca presented the earliest 4d9fp in history at an event with the Nens del Vendrell.

The Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls was the main protagonist of the 'Diada de les Colles Campiones del Concurs de Castells' (Championship of Castells Teams Day) held in El Vendrell this Sunday. The 'rosats' managed to load their first 'gamma extra' of the season, the 5d9 with folre, a notable achievement marking the start of the most complex constructions for the Valls-based team.
The performance by Colla Vella also included the successful download of the 3d9 with folre, which experienced a slight tremor during loading, and the 4d9 with folre, which required considerable effort from the 'tronc' (core structure) to be completed. To conclude their participation, they presented the pilar de 7 with folre.
Meanwhile, the Castellers de Vilafranca delivered a memorable performance, downloading the 3d9 with folre, the 4d9 with folre and pilar, and the pilar de 8 with folre and manilles. Their 4d9 with folre and pilar became the first 'gamma extra' downloaded of the season and the earliest in the history of castells.
The hosts, the Nens del Vendrell, celebrated their centenary by downloading the 4d8, leaving the 2d7 only loaded, and completing the 5d7. The event concluded with joint pillars from all participating teams, in a gathering that lasted approximately two and a half hours.
