The incident took place at 12:58 p.m. on Friday, January 16, when Mossos d'Esquadra agents were conducting a preventive checkpoint at the entrance to the Baronia del Mar urbanization in Bellvei.

During the checkpoint, officers detected a vehicle driving at an inappropriate speed. When they attempted to stop it, the driver performed an evasive maneuver to avoid inspection.

Finally, the officers were able to stop and identify the man, aged 31. Upon searching the vehicle, they found one kilogram of marijuana buds and 850 euros in cash, leading to his arrest as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking offense.
