ERC in El Vendrell selects Albert Rovira as candidate for 2027 elections

The current councilor will replace Alfons González, who had already announced his withdrawal, to lead a project focused on renewal and internal cohesion.

The local branch of ERC in El Vendrell has chosen councilor Albert Rovira as the mayoral candidate for the 2027 municipal elections, signaling the start of a new phase of renewal.

The decision was made after the current spokesperson and lead candidate, Alfons González, announced a few days ago that he would not run again. González, however, will continue to serve until the end of the current term.

He will lead the new republican project in the municipality and opens a stage marked by renewal, internal cohesion, and a look to the future.

After being proclaimed candidate, Rovira publicly thanked González for his work. The local ERC section will now begin defining the electoral program, strategic lines, and configuring the team that will accompany him in the 2027 candidacy.
