This initiative, named 'La Crida del Foc', began last year to mark the 20th anniversary of the city's dragon, Don Fumera de Pavillard. Its aim is to increase the visibility of festive fire imagery, foster connections between participating groups, and establish Badalona as a key event in the Catalan bestiary calendar.
This year's event will commence at 6:30 PM with the 'plantada' (assembly) of the beasts. Following this, at 10:00 PM, the 'correfoc' (fire run) will begin, concluding with final fire displays at La Plana square at 11:00 PM.
Several invited beasts will participate, including the Drac d’Olivella, Drac Miserach de Sant Pau d’Ordal, Corb Borni de Llinars, and El Cabrot del Vendrell.
The 'correfoc' route will start on Avinguda Martí Pujol and proceed through Carrer Ignasi Iglesias, Carrer Marina, Carrer dels Arbres, back to Avinguda Martí Pujol, then Carrer Enric Borràs, Carrer del 2 de maig, concluding at Plaça de la Plana.
