The Badalona City Council has opened the selection process to hire 30 unemployed individuals as civic agents, aiming to promote civility and improve citizen coexistence in the city.

Selected individuals will sign 12-month contracts, with an expected start date of December 14, 2026. They will be responsible for information, awareness, and promotion of civic attitudes. The program, funded by the Barcelona Provincial Council, also includes training in transversal skills.
First Deputy Mayor Cristina Agüera highlighted that the program continues a "very successful" initiative that enhances direct support to residents and improves neighborhood coexistence, while also providing employment opportunities for those facing difficulties entering the job market.
Requirements include being unemployed, registered with the SOC (Catalan Employment Service), possessing at least a school leaving certificate, and having knowledge of Catalan and Spanish. Individuals hired in local employment plans in Badalona during 2025 and 2026 are ineligible. Sociolaboral factors, experience, and training will be assessed.
Applications can be submitted in person at Can Bosca (carrer de la Nova Cançó, 1) from November 2 to 6, 2026. Application forms can be collected on-site or downloaded from the municipal website. The list of admitted and excluded candidates will be published on November 10, with final results on November 27.
