Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA) collaborates for the sixth year with FILMETS Badalona Film Festival, becoming a non-competitive venue and screening short films for users and professionals.

Badalona Serveis Assistencials (BSA) has presented the short film “El Carme. L’inici d’una nova etapa” and becomes, for the sixth consecutive year, an official non-competitive venue for the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival. The Hospital Municipal de Badalona and the Centre d’Atenció Intermèdia El Carme will host a selection of short films during the 52nd edition of the festival, taking place from October 15th to 25th.
The short film, part of the Badalona en Curt session on October 17th, narrates in the first person the life experience of the protagonist, Núria Peix, a member of BSA's Friends group. The fictional piece shows the process of regaining autonomy and well-being at the Centre d’Atenció Intermèdia El Carme, highlighting a person-centered care model.
The audiovisual also showcases the spaces and resources of the care project, such as the new rehabilitation gyms, the EMOTIVA immersive room, and the assisted therapy programs with dogs, serving nearly 457,000 people.
BSA's participation in FILMETS includes screenings at its centers. The Hospital Municipal de Badalona will screen short films during the week of October 19th, with a special session for users and professionals of the Servei de Rehabilitació Comunitària on October 21st. The Centre d’Atenció Intermèdia El Carme will offer screenings at the Day Hospital on October 19th, 21st, and 23rd.
Throughout the rest of the festival, videos produced by the organization will also be shown, such as ‘Sense Paraules’, ‘Avancem amb tu’, ‘#JoSocBSA’, ‘VITALS’, ‘90 anys dibuixant somriures’, ‘Olímpics’, or ‘Persones que cuiden Persones’.
