The heavy storm that hit Badalona on Tuesday afternoon caused the city to collapse, resulting in over 130 incidents managed by the Firefighters and severe disruption to public transport.

The intensity of the rainfall, which exceeded 100 liters per square meter in some areas, overwhelmed the municipal drainage system. The Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) had to carry out more than 131 callouts, mainly due to flooding in ground floors, water accumulation on public roads, and damage to facilities.
Mobility disruptions were critical. The Gorg metro station was completely flooded, forcing the suspension of the L2 Line service between Artigues and Pompeu Fabra. The Tram service also suffered interruptions for several hours, adding to the traffic chaos in streets like the Providència underpass.
Another significant incident was the preventive evacuation of the Màgic Badalona shopping center, where part of the false ceiling collapsed due to massive water ingress. Fortunately, according to authorities, no personal injuries were recorded despite the severity of the material damage.
The episode has generated strong resident dissatisfaction. Many residents complained about the lack of alerts from Protecció Civil on mobile phones and criticized the near absence of the Guàrdia Urbana (Local Police) in the streets during the moments of maximum intensity, pointing to a feeling of municipal lack of coordination.
