The 080 Barcelona Fashion has embarked on a new chapter at Barcelona's Port Vell, hosting 26 fashion shows that blend emerging designers with established brands, marking a significant change in its venue.

The thirty-seventh edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion commenced with the runway show by the brand Escorpion, which presented a collection focused on knitwear, officially launching the event.

"Anyone who says fashion is insignificant has no idea."

Miquel Sàmper · Minister of Business and Labour
During the inauguration, the Minister of Business and Labour, Miquel Sàmper, emphasized the relevance of the fashion sector in Catalonia, noting that it generates approximately 17.5 billion euros, employs 73,660 people, and comprises nearly 1,000 companies.
After several editions at the modernist complex of Sant Pau, the 080 Barcelona Fashion is now established at Port Vell. José Alberto Carbonell, president of the Port of Barcelona, stated that this choice is not accidental, as the port is a vital infrastructure for the sector, moving thousands of containers of textile products annually and contributing to the internationalization of Catalan fashion.

"We are closing a wonderful chapter at Sant Pau, an iconic, magnificent, and unique space in Barcelona. But we are moving to an exclusive space; there is no other runway in the world that is over the sea."

Moisés Rodríguez · Director of the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia
Moisés Rodríguez, director of the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion of Catalonia, positively assessed the change of location, highlighting the exclusivity of a runway over the sea. Participating brands include established names like Custo and Simorra, alongside new additions such as Adolfo Domínguez. The only change from the initial lineup was the replacement of Luar (Raúl López) by Mexican designer Ricardo Seco, due to force majeure.
