The building, comprising 23 apartments, one with a tenant on an old rent contract, has undergone renovation to allocate 22 units to young people under 35 registered in the Official Protected Housing Applicant Registry (RSHPO). Six of these apartments have been reserved for local residents, and the rest will be raffled among the general pool.
Monthly rents range between 350.39 and 459 euros, depending on the usable area, plus community fees and property tax (IBI). The renovation is being carried out in phases, with 17 apartments already refurbished and ongoing work on five more. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The building, with a total constructed area of 1,487 m², includes six floors and two commercial spaces. The acquisition of the property is part of the City Council's new pre-emption and redemption ordinance, which prioritizes buildings with more than 10 apartments to increase the city's public housing stock.
