The project presented by Bea Espejo for the open call by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) was chosen for its integral nature, the strength of her career, and her ability to combine critical thinking with communication and relational skills. The proposal aims to reinforce La Virreina's role and its connection with citizens and Barcelona's cultural ecosystem.
The evaluation committee included Eva Sòria (Director of Cultural Sectors at ICUB), Dora Garcia (artist), Maria Lladó (Director of the Creation Area at Institut Ramon Llull), Andrea Soto (Professor of Aesthetics and Art Theory at the Autonomous University of Barcelona), Lluïsa Pedrosa (Director of Resources at ICUB), and Mercedes Torres (Director of Economic Planning, Selection, and Promotion Services for the Management of People, Organization, and Electronic Administration of Barcelona City Council).
