Barcelona's Campus Clínic Solidari (CCS) has hosted a delegation from UNRWA to strengthen collaboration in healthcare for children with disabilities in Palestinian refugee camps.

The municipal initiative «Districte 11» has enabled the Campus Clínic Solidari (CCS), a collaboration of institutions including the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, IDIBAPS, ISGlobal, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UB, MonClinic, and CAPSBE, to provide remote technical support to nursing professionals in Palestine. This cooperation has led to significant advancements in the care of children with cerebral palsy and other neuropsychological disorders, supported by teams from the CDIAP, EIPI of Ciutat Vella and Nou Barris, and a psychology group from the UAB.
Building on these achievements and at the request of the Barcelona City Council, the CCS organized a visit for a UNRWA delegation, led by Dr. Rabie Naqa and Dr. Luai Khatib, among other representatives. The delegation had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into Barcelona's healthcare and training models.
During the visit, UNRWA representatives toured the rehabilitation area of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, a leading European center, and learned about the primary care model at the Consorci Atenció Primària de Salut Barcelona Esquerra (CAPSBE). They also visited the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Barcelona (UB), recognized for its educational contributions.
The meeting, attended by Meritxell Cascan, Julià González, Ethel Sequeira, and Glòria Cardona from the CCS, was a productive and enriching experience, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and direct insights from UNRWA professionals.
The Campus Clínic Solidari invites the public to join its solidarity network and contribute to global health and international cooperation projects.
