The campaign, designed to boost volunteer visibility and recognition, accompanies the introduction of new identification vests for the Amics del Clínic program. The institutional event was attended by Dr. Josep Maria Campistol, General Director of Hospital Clínic Barcelona; Ms. Saray Alen, Nursing Director; Mr. Jordi Carrión, Manager of Fundació Món Clínic; and Ms. Anna Jover, Head of the Corporate Social Responsibility Area, who acknowledged the volunteers' work in supporting patients and families.
These new vests will enable patients, families, and staff to more easily identify volunteers in various hospital areas, as part of a continuous service improvement plan. The "¿Puedo ayudarte?" campaign highlights a discreet yet essential role in enhancing the patient experience.
Currently, the Amics del Clínic program has 153 volunteers who, over the past year, have assisted more than 14,500 patients and dedicated over 19,000 volunteer hours. Their activities include guiding and accompanying patients and families, supporting lonely individuals, facilitating access to care services, and collaborating on specific programs, complementing the work of healthcare teams to foster more personal and humane care.
The event also featured the debut of "Stories Behind the Vest," a series of testimonials sharing real experiences of patient support and showcasing the impact of volunteering on the hospital's daily life. The initiative also targets Clínic professionals to further strengthen the integration and recognition of volunteers as part of the hospital community.
