Farmers from Berguedà and Bages began a tractor march towards Barcelona today, Friday, February 6, to celebrate the Revolta Pagesa anniversary and demand that the Generalitat fulfill its agreements.

The mobilization, which celebrates the two-year anniversary of Revolta Pagesa, is carried out with a dual feeling of joy for the anniversary and discontent over the non-compliance with agreements reached with the Generalitat just three weeks ago.
Farmers from Berguedà left the Cal Bassacs gas station at 7:30 a.m. The column, escorted by the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalan Police), occupied one lane of the C-16 towards Manresa, where they joined farmers from Bages, totaling about fifty vehicles including tractors and cars.
After joining forces in Manresa, the column resumed the march along the C-16, planning to enter Barcelona around 12 noon via the Túnels de Vallvidrera. Once in the city, they will meet other columns arriving from Girona, Osona, and Vallès.
The two-day agenda includes a press conference on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, in front of the Department of Agriculture headquarters, followed by speeches, an urban garden workshop, and concerts. Activities will continue on Saturday morning with a family scavenger hunt and a farmers' market that will close the anniversary event.
