Former architect Begoña Fernández-Aramburu, 51, decided in May 2024 to leave her Barcelona apartment to live and telework in a caravan, starting a new itinerant life stage with her retired husband.

The decision to adopt an itinerant life followed several professional reinventions. After the 2008 crisis forced her out of architecture, she worked in various sectors until, at age 50, she trained in computer programming through Barcelona Activa and the SOC, securing a job immediately.
This new lifestyle allows Begoña to telework from anywhere, dedicating her afternoons to traveling and enjoying nature with her husband. Although she admits missing her children, the family approved the change, and now her daughters travel to visit their parents wherever they are.

"I have a pretty good capacity for adaptation and resilience."
