Asi Burak, who holds dual US and Israeli citizenship, lived for nearly 20 years in New York and 15 in Tel Aviv before relocating to Barcelona with his family. As CBO of Tilting Point, a global video game publisher with 350 employees, he leads strategic alliances with studios and major platforms.
“"Few cities combine the lifestyle and creativity the way Barcelona does."
The executive confessed that every trip to Barcelona made it harder to leave, citing the light, the rhythm, and the sense of possibility. He noted that the city offered “discovering a new version of my home, with more sunlight, space, and balance than New York could ever offer me.”
Despite his praise, Burak believes Barcelona could benefit from importing the culture of “serendipity” and open networking found in cities like New York to foster innovation. He concluded that the city has the potential to become the next creative capital of Europe, provided it increases collaboration between local and international voices and industries.
