The Gornal Civic and Community Center in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will begin renovation and modernization works in April, with an investment of 647,224.48 euros, to update its spaces and enhance services for citizens.

This project includes adapting spaces for regular community use, as well as significant improvements in energy efficiency and user comfort. The aim is to strengthen the versatility of the facilities and adapt them to the current needs of the neighborhood.
One of the most notable improvements will be the installation of an elevator, ensuring accessibility to all floors of the facility. This intervention seeks to consolidate the center as an essential meeting point and a space for neighborhood revitalization, offering more modern and inclusive facilities for all residents.

Jaume Romero · Director General of Community Action and Social Innovation
This project is part of a broader initiative by the Department of Social Rights and Inclusion, which is allocating over 6 million euros to the renovation of three civic and community centers in the Barcelona metropolitan area. The other two beneficiary centers are located in El Prat de Llobregat and the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona.
The El Prat de Llobregat – Delta Civic and Community Center will receive the largest investment, nearly 4.9 million euros, for a comprehensive transformation that will include energy improvements, space renovation, and new services. In the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona, the civic center's works, with an investment of nearly 943,000 euros, will focus on space redistribution, climate control system improvement, and adaptation to an intergenerational model.
