This special edition celebrates the fair's 15th anniversary, consolidating it as a gastronomic benchmark in the city. As part of the European Capital of Local Commerce 2026, the event will highlight the role of municipal markets as economic drivers, social cohesion spaces, and guarantors of healthy, sustainable, and local food.
For three days, attendees can enjoy fresh produce from 19 merchants representing 11 municipal markets, including La Boqueria, La Barceloneta, Galvany, and Santa Caterina. A highly valued activity is the opportunity to buy products directly from the stalls and cook them on-site at the designated barbecue areas.
The fair will also feature producers and artisans from the region, showcasing the diversity of Catalan gastronomy. As an international guest, the South Korean province of Jeonbuk will offer an immersion into its culture and cuisine through showcookings, tastings, workshops, and musical performances, featuring traditional dishes like Bibimbap and Songpyeon.
The Aula Gastronòmica (Gastronomy Classroom) will be a central space with over twenty activities, including showcookings and talks by renowned restaurateurs such as Oriol Castro (Disfrutar), Diego Mondragón and Germán Espinosa (Mae), Iñaki Aldrey (Atempo), and Carlota Claver (La Gormanda). The "Recipes for Peace" initiative with Palestinian chef Husam Dawoud will also take place.
Music will gain prominence with the new Terrassa del Llac (Lake Terrace), hosting live concerts and DJ sets, alongside free tastings of wines, cavas, and vermouths at La Bodegueta. The Espai Familiar (Family Space) will offer educational activities on healthy eating, sustainability, and the environment, as well as workshops related to traditional Korean games and the celebration of Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026.
Sustainability is a key pillar, with a dedicated point for reusable and returnable cups and plates, chilled water fountains, and selective waste collection systems. The fair will be held at the Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes from October 16 to 18, with hours from 11 AM to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 11 AM to 9 PM on Sunday.
