The Tomàs Balvey Museum Archive of Cardedeu (MATBC) has presented its new Strategic Plan today, a document outlining objectives and lines of action for the coming years. This plan aims to build a shared and transformative vision for the museum, connected to current societal needs and the potential of its surroundings, resulting from a participatory process involving technical teams and local educational, social, health, and cultural agents.
Building on its unique identity, marked by the legacy of the Balvey pharmacy, its historical collection, and botanical garden, the museum seeks to become a more inclusive, participatory space committed to the community.
The new Strategic Plan is structured around four main objectives: positioning itself as a museum of health and well-being in Catalunya, becoming a leading educational, creative, and participatory space, consolidating participatory governance and sustainable management, and strengthening relationships with the local environment and community engagement.
To achieve these goals, work lines are being promoted, including updating the historical pharmacy's museography, developing well-being, education, and creation programs, fostering collaborative projects, and incorporating new spaces for citizen participation.
With this roadmap, the MATBC aims to be a living, relational, and open museum that actively contributes to the well-being of individuals and the community, going beyond the mere conservation and dissemination of heritage.
