The one-hour and twenty-minute show highlights Míriam Moukhles' ability to sing, dance, and perform with a charisma and stage presence that deeply connect with the audience. The play is a creation of La Moukhles & Sentis, with dramaturgy and direction by Míriam Moukhles, Joan Sentís, and Pau Matas.
ABECEDARI stems from research conducted during a summer in Paris, inspired by the legacy of philosopher Gilles Deleuze. The piece is conceived as a chaotic network of connections, without a defined beginning or end, reflecting the idea that life is a sum of mobile and changing impressions. The show moves through various settings, from a library to a piano bar, exploring themes such as the search for a father, painting, music, and life in perpetual motion.
The cast is completed by Joan Sentís Mayol and Cristina Martínez. Joan Sentís provides the male counterpoint, playing a student who investigates the philosopher's thought and seeks to bring order to chaotic ideas. His character, with a cinematic and contained performance, includes notable moments such as his transformation into Fred Galiana, a featherweight champion residing in Mataró.
Meanwhile, Cristina Martínez, also from Terrassa, embodies an art history professor, immersing the audience in a semiotics class. Her performance, which includes piano playing, merges with the exploration of her father's role and his admiration for Juanita de Tànger, creating a symbiosis between painting and music in the painting El gran concert. Her character guides an emotional journey to Morocco, described as both painful and beautiful.
The combination of the initials of the three performers—Míriam, Joan, and Cristina—symbolizes the solidity of ABECEDARI, a work that, according to critics, creates a fluid, intellectual, and emotional experience, leaving a profound impression on the audience.
