Protecció Civil activated the Ferrocat pre-alert on Thursday afternoon due to an infrastructure failure that halted circulation on the R2 Rodalies line between Granollers Centre and Castelldefels.

The service interruption on the R2 line was caused by an infrastructure failure, as reported by Protecció Civil. This pre-alert is activated when there is a serious impact on the railway service requiring emergency coordination.
This activation occurred just hours after a previous incident that affected the service between the El Prat de Llobregat station and the airport, causing widespread delays across a large part of the Rodalies railway network.
The morning breakdown, reported around 12:30 hours by Rodalies and Adif, forced the interruption of traffic between El Prat de Llobregat and the airport, resulting in delays exceeding 20 minutes.
The morning incident impacted several key lines, including the R2, R2 Nord, R2 Sud, R13, R14, R15, and R17, highlighting the persistent fragility of the network.
