This initiative is directed at citizens who, although not at imminent risk of residential exclusion, require financial support to remain in their usual homes. The call opens on March 31st and introduces several significant new features.
Among the main modifications, the possibility of delegating the online application process to an authorized person stands out, thus facilitating access to these aids. Furthermore, the maximum rental caps eligible for subsidy have been reviewed and expanded, varying according to the territory.
Specifically, the caps have changed in the city of Barcelona and its Metropolitan Area, while remaining unaltered in the rest of Catalonia. For example, in Lleida, the limit is 600 euros per month for housing and 300 euros per room.
The aid will be based on income and will range from 50 to 200 euros per month.
The new eligible rental caps for the rest of the Barcelona demarcation are 750 euros per month for housing and 350 euros per room. In Girona, they are set at 750 euros for housing and 400 euros for a room. For Tarragona, the limits are 700 euros for housing and 350 euros for a room, while for Lleida and the Terres de l'Ebre they remain at 600 euros for housing and 300 euros for a room.
