Singer Shakira, who is preparing for a European tour with multiple concerts in Madrid, maintained a diva protocol on her flights between Miami and Barcelona, as explained by presenter Jordi González.
While the Colombian singer prepares for an ambitious European tour that includes eleven concerts in Madrid, where the construction of a temporary stadium with capacity for 55,000 people is even being considered, details of her private life during her stay in Barcelona have been revealed.
Journalists Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez, from TV3's Col·lapse program, have commented on Shakira's decision not to perform in Barcelona, a choice that does not surprise them given the circumstances of her departure from the city.
“
"I don't know who can be surprised considering how she left here. I don't know who imagined her at Palau Sant Jordi. The last concert she did here was the one where Gerard Piqué and his Barça teammates went on stage… how much time has passed and how many 'horns' have fallen since then."
Presenter Jordi González has shared his experiences of coinciding with Shakira on several flights from Miami to Barcelona. According to González, the singer followed a very particular ritual during the nine-hour intercontinental journeys.
“
"She always boarded the eleven o'clock night flight with sunglasses, went into the bathroom, and came out in normal pajamas, those with trousers. She put on her eye mask and went to sleep."
Furthermore, upon arrival at Barcelona Airport, a special protocol was activated for her exit. Shakira used the priority area, an exclusive service that, as González discovered, cost 6,000 euros per month to AENA just to be able to exit through a different door.
