The Barcelona City Council has announced the six establishments honored in the seventh edition of the Barcelona Restoration Awards 2026, celebrating quality, rooted, and sustainable gastronomy, as well as the city's identity.

The 7th edition of the awards has recognized restaurant establishments in the city that stand out for their connection to the neighborhood and for their values of quality, integration, sustainability, service excellence, and commitment to fresh, local produce. Barcelona boasts a potent, creative, innovative, sustainable, and diverse gastronomic scene, with its establishments having become a key element in shaping the city and promoting Barcelona's gastronomic culture.
The awards recognize initiatives in six categories: gastronomic quality, neighborhood integration, sustainability, front-of-house service, Barcelona Markets' restoration, and an honorary award. This year, restaurants such as Fishology (Eixample) were awarded for their fight against food waste, Arume (Ciutat Vella) for its neighborhood integration and gastronomic legacy, and Nectari (Eixample) for its commitment to sustainability and inclusion.
In the front-of-house service category, the award went to Restaurant Windsor (Eixample) for its professionalism and attention to detail. In the Barcelona Markets' restoration category, La Medusa 73 (Mercat del Ninot) was honored for its fresh fish and seafood offerings. Finally, the honorary recognition was given to the historic Via Veneto restaurant (Sarrià – Sant Gervasi) for its long-standing career in haute cuisine.
