The story of Vortex-Cero doesn't begin a year ago, but over two decades ago. It arises from a 25-year career immersed in the heart of the comic and collectibles sector, an experience that today becomes the main added value for our clients.
It all began in the year 2000, when I decided to go from being a passionate customer to being part of a comic book store's team. That's when I discovered how this universe worked from the inside. At that time, long before the current explosion of superhero movies and series, those of us passionate about this world were a very small group and knew almost everyone. Fortunately, the arrival of major film adaptations and the unstoppable rise of manga —which has gone from being a cult phenomenon to publishing hundreds of new releases monthly— opened up this niche to become the large community it is today.
My evolution within the sector was constant. Shortly after, I took over the management of that store, which, over the years, became one of the benchmark stores not only in Spain but throughout Europe. During those years, I learned to manage the market from scratch: to anticipate trends, negotiate with suppliers, distributors, publishers, and authors, and to perfectly understand the creation processes.
This leadership gave me encyclopedic knowledge of brands, manufacturers, sculptors, materials, and high-end statues, as well as a deep insight into the comic market.
Following the closure of that company, I decided it was time to take the definitive step. Instead of moving away from the sector, I wanted to take all this 25 years of experience, my formed judgment, and my passion, to shape Vortex-Cero.
Today, Vortex-Cero is not just a point of sale. It is a project where each product offers, behind it, the advice and guarantee of an expert. My goal is to convey to collectors, both veterans and newcomers, the same passion with which I started in 2000, but with the peace of mind of knowing you are in the best hands.
