Storm Leonardo arrived in Catalonia on Thursday, February 5, causing intermittent rain in Barcelona and activating a rough sea warning along the coast.

The frontal line associated with Storm Leonardo has caused the World Weather Man and Woman Day, celebrated on Thursday, February 5, to be marked by instability. Rainfall, although not very intense, is expected to last from mid-morning until lunchtime in the Barcelona area, with a possible increase in intensity between noon and three in the afternoon.
Although the wind will not be a prominent factor, the sea state is highly disturbed. The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (SMC) has activated a warning for rough seas due to the swell, which will remain active from Thursday afternoon until Friday morning.

Waves may exceed 2.5 meters, especially in the area of the Llobregat Delta and Maresme, where the danger level is high.

This dangerous situation is particularly relevant along the coastline of Maresme and in the Llobregat Delta area. Caution is advised due to the disturbed state of the sea, as waves could exceed 2.5 meters in these areas.
