The management of Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) and the strike committee have reached a preliminary agreement on the collective bargaining agreement, prompting unions to call off the strikes scheduled for today and five other days in October.

The agreement follows negotiations on the main points of the collective bargaining agreement. Among the agreed improvements are an increase in rest days and a reduction in working hours. Starting in 2027, bus workers will have 10 additional annual rest days and a working week approaching 35 hours.
During the agreement's term, an additional 3 rest days can be added to reach the 35-hour week, provided certain conditions are met. These conditions include reduced absenteeism and operational improvements that allow for hiring more staff.
Furthermore, a new system has been agreed upon to increase weekend rest days, fulfilling a key union demand. The new collective bargaining agreement will be valid for 4 years.
