In response to recent claims questioning the quality of drinking water in Can Canyamars, the Dosrius City Council has issued an official clarification. According to the council, continuous contact has been maintained with Public Health, who have confirmed that the distributed water meets the required health guarantees for human consumption.
The statement emphasizes the importance of trust, built on clear and rigorous information. While acknowledging supply problems, interruptions, and non-compliance, the City Council distinguishes these incidents from health quality issues, calling for responsibility and reliance on verified data when discussing health.
Concurrently, the City Council reports it is working to regain public management of the service, a complex legal situation marked by a judicial proceeding where the managing company claims nearly 3.9 million euros from the municipality. The need to act with firmness and prudence to defend residents' interests is highlighted.
Councillor Silvia Garrido Galera, who also lives in Can Canyamars, has expressed her commitment to working towards resolving the situation with transparency and responsibility, acknowledging the residents' concerns and inconveniences.
