The alternative candidate in the Barcelona en Comú primaries, Roberto Enríquez (Bop Pop), has chosen neighborhood activist and Eixample councilor, Mar Trallero, as his running mate, seeking a deeply rooted local profile.

The selection of Trallero, who grew up in the Sant Antoni neighborhood activism and joined the party in 2014, reflects Bop Pop's campaign intention to distance itself from the formation's more official profiles. She held the 31st position on the 2023 electoral list and currently serves as a councilor for the Eixample district.

"I want to be part of a project that opens up, that dares, and that does politics not from comfort, but from care."

For his part, Bop Pop, also an LGTBI activist, highlighted the complementarity of the tandem, although he regretted not having the support of figures like former mayor Ada Colau or Minister Urtasun. The writer has defined his candidacy as the "practical" one, contrasting it with the "fiction" he attributes to his rival.

"He [Pisarello] represents fiction and I represent reality; I am on the street."

The party apparatus, including Ada Colau, has openly positioned itself in favor of the other contender, former deputy mayor and MP Gerardo Pisarello, who backs councilor Carol Recio as his number two. Recio is a figure close to the neighborhood movement in Prosperitat and presides over the plenary session of Nou Barris.
