The El Clot neighborhood in Barcelona will host the Porkada celebration, a festival of popular culture and gastronomy focused on the pig, next Saturday, January 24, 2026.

The Porkada del Clot reaches its tenth edition as part of the Sant Antoni Festive Cycle, which this year runs from January 10 to 25, 2026. This festival, which combines workshops, parades, popular lunch, and fire, is established as an essential event in the district's festive calendar.
The day will begin at 11 am with children's workshops in the Plaça del Mercat del Clot, followed by a popular culture parade. Emblematic figures such as the Ball de Bastons del Clot, the Gegants del Clot, the drummers of the Diables del Clot, and the Pork del Clot itself will participate.
After the midday musical vermouth, the popular lunch "Pork al plat" will take place at 2 pm. In the afternoon, the celebration will reactivate with the "porkatapes," a gastronomic route through participating neighborhood bars like D’Clot or La Margui, culminating at 8 pm with the grand correfoc (fire run) starting from the Plaça del Mercat.
The pig is the protagonist of the festival, referencing a part of the legend of Saint Anthony the Abbot. According to tradition, the patron saint of animals healed an injured piglet which, out of gratitude, decided to accompany the saint forever.
