This measure exclusively affects the Madrid-Barcelona corridor and will allow Adif maintenance teams to perform routine conservation tasks when no commercial services are running. The suspension forced operators to cancel trips starting from 8:00 PM this Monday, as these trains were arriving within the maintenance window.
Renfe confirmed the cancellation of three AVE trains: the Madrid-Barcelona departing from Puerta de Atocha at 8:27 PM, the one at 9:07 PM, and the Barcelona-Madrid service at 9:05 PM. The operator is informing affected customers of their automatic re-accommodation and offers the option to make changes or cancellations without cost if the proposed alternative does not meet their needs. Iryo has also offered re-accommodation or full refunds to its customers.
