The MNAC museum in Barcelona will host the People in Red charity gala on May 11th, an annual event organized by Dr. Bonaventura Clotet to fund medical research.

The Barcelona City Council hosted the launch of this year's edition, which features performances by the band Amaral and singer-songwriter Joan Dausà. Actresses Sílvia Abril and Toni Acosta will host the ceremony, which aims to raise awareness and funds for the Fight Infections Foundation.

A new solidarity award will be presented to actor and director Eduardo Casanova, featuring a sculpture by Jaume Plensa titled Love Hope. With 750 guests expected, the gala continues its mission to support research into HIV and emerging respiratory diseases, following last year's success of nearly 980,000 euros raised.
