American Airlines has announced the resumption of its direct flight between Charlotte and Barcelona, operating a Boeing 777 once a day.

The private airline will connect the two cities, adding Charlotte to its six US hubs that already link with the Catalan capital: Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, and Chicago.
This investment by American Airlines in Barcelona is based on confidence in the US market, even though the growth of El Prat Airport is at its limit and awaiting expansion.
The new non-stop air connections are considered foreign investments in Catalonia. It is estimated that each such link can mobilize around 150 million euros.
