The renowned Terrassa-based artist, Anna Taratiel, known for her work linked to street art with large murals and public installations, has designed the poster for the upcoming Festa Major de Terrassa 2026. The design retains her distinctive identity, characterized by a combination of vibrant colors and geometric abstraction, aiming to be accessible and appealing to all citizens.
This initiative continues the tradition of inviting local artists to create the event's imagery. Taratiel is the second artist to take on this role, following the success achieved last year with Conrad Rosset. The main novelty this year is the creation of dozens of different posters, based on the model designed by the artist. This concept is complemented by a large mural already visible at the Torre del Palau and an interactive digital application.
Through the online platform ([https://2026.festamajorterrassa.cat/](https://2026.festamajorterrassa.cat/)), citizens can create their own compositions using the elements and color palette established by Taratiel. The goal is to reflect an open, participatory, and creative spirit, as stated by Mayor Jordi Ballart during the official presentation, emphasizing the desire for an "innovative and groundbreaking" celebration.
The designs generated by users, which can be downloaded for personal use, will be submitted to form a compilation of approximately 50 different models. These will be printed and distributed throughout the city as banners and other advertising materials. Participation will be open until after the Festa Major, with a primary collection period during the first 10-12 days to ensure timely printing.
"My idea is to transform the streets. To visually play with colors and combined elements and have people participate in a festival that will be visually and graphically different," explained the artist. Taratiel highlighted that the created blocks are inspired by elements of the Festa Major, and the choice of the three main colors was a "personal" decision to achieve visual impact.
