Officers from the Canine Unit of the Barcelona Urban Guard, who were part of the security operation for the Brunch Electronik festival, arrested a man with several doses of synthetic drugs prepared for sale. The incident took place last Sunday at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona.
One of the unit's dogs, named Uro and specialized in drug detection, alerted officers to the suspect. After being detected, the individual attempted to flee, throwing a bag containing the drugs. He was eventually intercepted, and during the search, several doses of substances such as 2CB, methamphetamine, and MDMA were found, all individually separated for distribution.
The quantities of drugs exceeded those stipulated by legislation for personal consumption, which is why the Urban Guard arrested him for a drug trafficking offense.
The arrest occurred because the amount of drugs found exceeded the legal limits for personal use. Furthermore, the fact that the substances were prepared in small doses was a determining factor in charging him with a drug trafficking offense.
