The Art Nou festival, organized by ArtBarcelona, celebrates its fifteenth edition in Barcelona and L'Hospitalet. This initiative aims to establish the first professional contact between young creators and the art market, including galleries, self-managed spaces, and institutions dedicated to emerging art.
Until September 3rd, the event will host more than 110 emerging artists. The program will be spread across 22 art galleries, 5 cultural institutions, and 22 independent spaces. The festival includes a wide range of activities, such as guided tours of the galleries, artist encounters, openings, and commented visits, allowing the public to discover the diversity of proposals.
In L'Hospitalet, the galleries and spaces participating in this edition from the Districte Cultural are: Barsa, ethall, EXs, the Fundació Arranz–Bravo, IP7studios, and Tangent Projects.
The official inauguration at the galleries in L'Hospitalet will take place this Friday, June 26th, starting at 5 PM, at Isaac Peral, 7 street. Artist Mourae will present an intervention that dialogues between contemporary creation and oral and mythological traditions.
In addition to the exhibitions, various complementary activities have been scheduled. On July 8th, at 7 PM, IP7 Studios will offer a guided tour to explore the artists' work and the creative processes behind the presented pieces.
On July 21st, at 6 PM, the Ruta Art Nou 6 – L’Hospitalet will take place. This route will include spaces such as Racoon Projects, ethall, IP7 Studios, and EXs Projects, offering a representative sample of contemporary emerging creation. Registrations are available on the festival's website.
Subsequently, at 8 PM, the day will conclude with a guided visit to EXs Projects, where participating artists and the curator will share the conceptual keys and creative processes of the exhibition with the public.
