The headquarters of the Territorial Services of the Department of Culture in Girona, located at Carrer dels Ciutadans, 18, will be the venue for the exhibition "Forty years accompanying social changes through terms". This exhibition celebrates the 40th anniversary of TERMCAT, the Centre for Terminology of Catalonia.
The selection of forty terms, one for each year, illustrates the evolution of Catalan society over the last four decades and TERMCAT's work in standardizing the language. Featured terms include píling, single-parent family, eurozone, podcast, sorority, teleworking, and vespreig.
The official inauguration will take place on Monday, October 5th, at 5 PM. The event will be attended by the director of the Territorial Services of Culture, Isabel Bernal, and the director of TERMCAT, Jordi Bover.
