An incident at an electrical substation in Collblanc has left 12,886 customers without electricity in Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. According to Endesa sources, the problem began at 5:24 PM due to a small cable fire that affected one of the transformers. The company is already working to restore service.
This is not the only recent incident. The previous morning, another fire at a substation in L'Hospitalet had already left 87,000 homes without power.
Some users have expressed on social media that the power cut, which has already lasted over three hours, affects districts such as Sants-Montjuïc, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, and Horta-Guinardó. Those affected criticize the lack of basic services like elevators and air conditioning during the outage.
