The Badalona City Council presented this Thursday the design for the 2026 Dimoni, the traditional figure that will be burned during the May Festivals to celebrate the city's basketball roots.

Designed by architecture student Àlex Prats, the figure titled The Sixth Player depicts a demon inside a basketball hoop. The character wears a jersey featuring the iconic pattern of Anís del Mono, another famous local symbol.
The theme aligns with the Basketball Champions League Final Four, which will take place at the Olympic Arena during the festival's main weekend. Mayor Xavier Garcia Albiol praised the design for reflecting the city's core values and sporting identity.

"It represents that the festival belongs to all of Badalona, and that it is lived in every neighborhood."

The city also unveiled the official festival poster and the traditional scarf, which this year will be burgundy. 100,000 units of the scarf will be distributed starting on Sant Jordi (April 23rd) to foster a sense of local pride.
