The Badalona City Council has launched a new free gentle gymnastics program for seniors, set to begin on September 14th.

The 2026-2027 course, organized by the municipal Senior Citizens' Department in collaboration with local centers and entities, primarily aims to promote active and healthy aging. The sessions focus on individual and partner movements designed to improve elasticity, flexibility, and muscle tone.
Beyond physical benefits, this initiative seeks to enhance participants' emotional well-being by fostering socialization and improving quality of life. Regular exercise also aids in injury prevention and maintaining personal autonomy.
Interested individuals must register at their respective senior citizen center or entity. Each center will provide detailed information on class days, times, and locations.

"From the Badalona City Council, we continue to work on offering activities adapted to the needs of the city's seniors, as physical exercise helps maintain independence and contributes to improving the quality of life for those who practice it."
