The City Council of Badalona has released a new edition of the children's and family booklet "Explora Badalona", this year focusing on basketball, to showcase the city's sporting and cultural heritage.

The publication, titled "Explora Badalona: Bressol del basquetbol" (Explora Badalona: Basketball Cradle), arrives at a key moment, coinciding with the Endesa Super Cup basketball tournament held in the city. Its aim is to introduce Badalona's attractions and identity to families and children through engaging activities.
The booklet features 15 activities, including clue-based games, word searches, hieroglyphics, and other challenges designed to test knowledge about the history, clubs, legendary players, and iconic venues of Badalona's basketball scene. Completing some activities requires participants to visit key city locations, thereby promoting awareness of local heritage.
First Deputy Mayor, Cristina Agüera, highlighted that this edition allows the city to "explain itself through one of its most universal and recognized elements: basketball." She added that the goal is for children and their families to discover why Badalona is considered the cradle of this sport while also learning about its history and the people who have contributed to this shared identity.
The booklet, available in Catalan and Spanish, will be distributed starting this weekend at the Badalona City Council's stand in the Fan Zone of the Endesa Super Cup, located in Plaça del President Tarradellas. It can also be obtained for free at the Badalona Tourist Office, situated at Carrer de Francesc Layret, 78.
