The Barcelona City Council granted FC Barcelona the necessary license this Tuesday to open the North Goal section, officially increasing the stadium's capacity to 62,000 spectators.

The newly authorized area will welcome fans this Sunday during the league match against Sevilla. This administrative milestone follows months of delays regarding the 1C license, which prevented the stand from opening during previous high-profile fixtures.
Since the Spotify Camp Nou reopened on November 22, the club has been operating with a restricted capacity of 45,000. The opening of the North Goal marks the end of a three-and-a-half-month period where this specific section remained entirely closed to the public.
The next phase of the renovation focuses on the third tier. Club officials expect to reach the full capacity of approximately 105,000 spectators by the start of the next season, provided construction remains on schedule through the summer.
