The Barcelona City Council has launched a new grant scheme worth 3.2 million euros to support the protection and improvement of the city's urban landscape and historic private properties.

Managed by the Municipal Institute of Urban Landscape (IMPU), the funding will be distributed through 2030. The program focuses on subsidizing green roofs, party walls, and the conservation of listed buildings with historical significance.
Applications for the current year will be accepted until November. A significant portion of the budget is dedicated to improving the exterior of commercial premises, particularly those classified as iconic or traditional businesses.
Specific subsidies have also been earmarked for shops located in the vicinity of the Sagrada Família, aiming to enhance the visual quality of the public space in this high-traffic area of Barcelona.
