The city of Barcelona will experience a weekend with fully summer conditions, according to forecasts from the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (Meteocat). The days of June 27th and 28th will be characterized by stable weather, with a predominance of sun and minimal cloud presence. Temperatures will remain significantly above the usual averages for this time of year.
After a week marked by persistent heat, thermometers will continue to register high values throughout the weekend. In the Catalan capital, maximum temperatures will hover around 30 degrees Celsius. Nights will also be warm, with minimums unlikely to drop below 24 or 25 degrees Celsius, marking another period of tropical nights.
The Barcelona metropolitan area will enjoy a mostly clear sky, with possible minor cloud intervals. The probability of precipitation is practically non-existent. The feeling of mugginess will persist, especially in areas near the coast. The sea breeze might slightly moderate temperatures during the central hours of the day, but the overall atmosphere will be decidedly hot on both Saturday and Sunday.
Meteorological models indicate that the warm air mass affecting Catalonia will continue to be present. However, a slight decrease in the extreme heat recorded during the week is expected, particularly in inland regions. Unlike previous episodes, the weekend does not foresee any significant meteorological situations beyond the persistence of high temperatures. The only possible showers would be very localized and restricted to areas of the Pyrenees during the afternoons.
The medium-term forecast also does not point to an imminent change in the weather pattern. Maps maintain a scenario of stable weather and a summer-like atmosphere, with elevated temperatures and an absence of significant precipitation in Barcelona. Thus, the city will close the month of June under fully summery conditions, with heat as the main weather protagonist.
