This Tuesday, Barcelona and its metropolitan area will experience a day marked by intense heat, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching 34°C, and significant humidity due to increased moisture.

The sky will remain clear and serene throughout the day, with no rain expected. The ultraviolet (UV) index will be very high, reaching level 8 across the entire metropolitan area, making precautions advisable. Bright sunshine is anticipated, with temperatures ranging from 23-25°C in the morning, approaching 28°C by midday. The feeling of heat will increase in the afternoon.
Some meteorological models suggest the possibility of coastal fog banks forming offshore, particularly in the Garraf area and southwards, both early in the morning and in the evening. Towards the end of the day, some high, thin clouds might appear, originating from the northernmost part of the Pyrenees, though more sporadically than the previous day.
Given these conditions, it is recommended to stay hydrated and avoid strenuous outdoor physical activities during the central hours of the day. The wind will be predominantly southerly, light on the coast and slightly stronger inland. The sea state will be good, with water temperatures between 22-23°C, typical for late June.
The intense heat is expected to persist for a significant part of this week and the next, with a possible heatwave coinciding with the summer solstice and the days leading up to Sant Joan. Although maximum temperatures might slightly decrease by Thursday, this will be a prelude to a prolonged heat episode, with heavier and more humid nights.
